This Domestic Cartridge Filter comes in an ideal size of 25cm (10 inches) which can be easily accommodated in any standard Filter Housing System.

A cartridge filter is a small piece of tubular filtration equipment that is used to block the passage of large-sized solids from entering the RO System. It is encased inside the filter housing. The cartridge filter is directly exposed to water, which needs filtration. Water flows inside the housing and passes through the filter.

Made with a very supreme synthetic Micro-Fibre which is polypropylene. This filter is able to remove all types of large and finer particles such as sand, dirt silt, rust, etc from the water. It is made with a melt-blown process of thermally bonded microfibers. The cartridge filter is a Pre-Filter that acts as a guardian of the other RO filters as it protects them from getting stuck up by large and fine particles. Keeps your water clear and is an integral component of the water filtration process.

FAQS

1. How many litres of water can I filter before I need to change out a cartridge?
There's no single number that fits every case — a cartridge's actual life depends on its micron rating, filtration efficiency at that rating, its surface area, and the amount and size of solids in your water supply. As a general benchmark, this 5-micron cartridge is rated for up to 2,500 litres under normal TDS conditions.

2. What micron size filter should I buy?
It depends on what you're filtering for — smaller micron ratings filter finer but clog faster, giving a shorter service life. This cartridge uses a 5-micron rating, the standard balance between filtration quality and service life for most domestic RO systems.

3. What size housing does this cartridge fit?
It's sized at 25 cm (10 inches), designed for standard 10-inch filter housings used across most domestic RO and UV water purifiers.

4. What is this cartridge filter made of?
Polypropylene (PP) — a synthetic micro-fibre material, melt-blown into thermally bonded fibres that trap sand, dirt, silt, and rust without releasing particles back into the water.

5. Is this cartridge compatible with my RO purifier?
Yes — it's built to standard 10-inch housing dimensions and is compatible with most common domestic RO and electric water purifiers available in India.

6. Why buy a pack of 3 instead of a single cartridge?
At a typical 2,500-litre service life per cartridge, a pack of 3 covers roughly three replacement cycles in one order — fewer reorders, and Pearl Water also applies a bulk discount (4% off at 3, 5% off at 4+) that lowers the per-unit price versus buying single pieces.

7. What's the shelf life of an unused cartridge?
24 months from manufacture, so buying a pack ahead of time doesn't mean it'll degrade sitting in storage before you need it.

8. How is a cartridge filter different from a sediment filter?
They serve a very similar first-stage role — both are pre-filters that trap large particles before water reaches the carbon and RO membrane stages. A cartridge filter is typically the broader term for this melt-blown polypropylene format, while "sediment filter" specifically emphasizes its job of stopping sand, rust, and dirt.
