The 950mm 33 CBM sits in exactly that gap: enough throughput to keep up with heavier daily usage, without the footprint, weight, or cost of the largest filter in the range.

At 33 m³/hr, this filter turns over a 1,50,000-litre pool roughly every 4.5 hours of run time — a practical benchmark for facilities running two filtration cycles a day (morning and evening) around swim sessions, rather than pools that need to run continuously.

Where the 950mm Fits Versus the 800mm and 1200mm

• Versus the 800mm (25 CBM): The jump to 33 CBM matters most for pools with heavier daily footfall — school swim batches, hotel pools during peak season, or clubs with back-to-back member bookings — where the 800mm's turnover rate starts to lag behind bather load.

• Versus the 1200mm (42 CBM): If your pool is under 1.75 lakh litres, the 1200mm's extra capacity is rarely needed and adds unnecessary tank diameter, backwash water consumption, and upfront cost. The 950mm is the more efficient choice unless you're running a water park or a pool near 2 lakh litres.

Tank Construction

The 95cm-diameter tank is built using bobbin-wound FRP — fiberglass roving wound under tension around a mandrel, rather than sprayed or hand-laid — which gives the tank wall consistent thickness and higher burst-pressure tolerance. This matters more at this size than on smaller filters: at 33 m³/hr flow and up to 4 bar maximum pressure, wall consistency is what prevents flex and stress points over years of backwash cycles.

Running It Day to Day

• Backwash frequency: Expect to backwash every 1–2 weeks under normal load, or immediately if the multiport valve's pressure gauge reads 0.3–0.5 bar above your clean-start baseline.

• Sand media: Use graded silica sand sized for a 40–50 m³/hr/m² filtration rate — undersized or poorly graded sand is the most common cause of reduced clarity on filters this size, not the filter itself.

• Valve position: The top-mount MPV keeps servicing accessible without draining the tank fully, which matters more on a 950mm unit than a smaller one given the added sand volume.

Who This Size Is For

Hotels and resorts with a single main pool under 1.75 lakh litres, clubs and gymkhanas with moderate-to-high member traffic, schools and colleges with a competition or practice pool, and community/apartment complex pools that see weekend traffic spikes.
