A brass ball valve is a shut-off valve that controls the flow of liquids or gases by rotating the ball having a bore inside the valve. In the Zoloto Brass ball valve, the ball is mounted against two seats with a shaft that connects it to the operating and control mechanism that rotates the ball. If the cross-section of the bore is perpendicular to the area of the flow then the fluid is not permitted to pass through the valve. The bore exposed to the floor decides the rate at which the fluid flows through the valve. When the lever arm is parallel to the pipe, it indicates that the valve is open and when the lever arm is perpendicular to the pipe, it indicates that the valve is closed.
The main components of brass ball valves are:
Ball - the ball is a sphere that has a hole in its center and that hole in the center is called the bore.
Bonnet - It is an extension of the valve housing that contains and also protects the shaft and its packing.
Valve housing - It contains all the internal components of a ball valve.
Shaft - It connects the ball to the control mechanism that rotates the ball.
Seat - The valve seats provide the sealing between the ball and its body.
