300 LPH Rota Meter or flow meters are used for measuring the volumetric flow of fluids such as water. By varying the cross sectional area through which fluids flow it causes a measuring effect which is useful in providing the flow of liquid. It’s made from various materials like acrylic , plastic , glass or metal with a float in the tube through which water passes , this float moves in linear fashion to the fluid flow rate and measurement can be done by seeing the position of the flow meter against the scale .

Since the rotameters tube is mounted vertically so when there's no flow, the float will rest at the bottom but once water starts flowing in the upward direction the float will begin to rise. In ideal condition the height that the float rises to is directly proportional to the water flow rate and the annular area between the float and the tube wall. The float will reach a fixed position when the upward force exerted due to water flow balances the weight of the float and flow rate can be found by reading the scale against the fixed float position .
Rotameter provides many advantages over other types of flow meters as it measures the flow rate on the basis of fluid velocity and buoyancy effect together with gravitational force and does not require any external power or energy.

A rotameter being a simple device and not very high on cost therefore it can be widely used for numerous purposes. It gives precise reading and is long lasting so used in the water treatment industry for flow measurement in the Industrial RO and similar system application.
The acrylic body type model can be used for temperature upto 50 Deg Celsius and glass tubes based model can be used for certain types of fluids like water upto 90°C (194°F) otherwise alongwith its high pH the fluid will softens the glass material or certain other material like caustic soda will dissolve the glassor acid like hydrofluoric ( HF ) will etch the glass.
